Application
Swivel castors are primarily required for erecting mobile scaffolding.
It is generally important to pay attention to certain specifications. Firstly, the
load capacity plays a key role, whereby the total load can be distributed across all
castors used. Another important specification is the
wheel diameter, whereby a larger wheel diameter makes manoeuvring easier
and makes traversing small uneven surfaces somewhat more comfortable. Finally,
the shaft diameter should also be checked to ensure the castors fit into the intended tubes with
minimal play. Lastly, swivel castors differ in
their casing depending on their intended use and
spindle compatibility. The latter allows for height compensation between the
various wheels on uneven ground.
